Your responsibilities

Wilderide strongly recommends you have your own travel and/or personal cycling and ambulance insurance for the duration of the trip, in case of illness, accidents or late cancellations.

For your safety, please implement protocols outlined in the Wilderide Safety Checklist.

Our routes traverse remote locations, often with no access to water and services, and with limited (and often no) mobile phone network. It is important that you plan your equipment, supplies and communications to cope with these challenges.

  • Riders MUST carry a mobile device with the with the ability to contact emergency services WITHOUT mobile phone network availability. Satellite communications devices are strongly recommended.

To prevent the spread of phytophthora in our wild forests riders must comply with disease-risk hygiene strategies.

For those on group tours it is important that you observe COVID safe measures compliant with current public health policies.

Payment terms

Bespoke tour packages:

  • Payment of 30% deposit is required 90 days prior to start date to secure your booking. Payment of the remaining balance is required 45 days before your start date.

  • Bookings made 45 days or less prior to the start date are required to make full payment to secure the booking. 

  • Single supplement: All accommodation is either double or twin share. Requests for single accommodation must be made at the time of booking and will incur an additional fee.

Self-guided tours - payment at time of booking, at least 48 hours prior to start date.

Guided tours - payment at time of booking, at least 7 days prior to start date.

Waiver and Release Agreement

All tour participants (guided and self-guided) must complete and return the Wilderide Waiver and Release Agreement via the Booking Form or via email to vanessajohnson@wilderide.au at least 48 hours prior to the start of their tour. Routes will only be supplied after the waiver form is received.

Data Privacy

We only collect the personal information that is reasonably necessary for the provision of Wilderide services. You can view our full Data Privacy Collection HERE.

Cancellation & refund policy:

Our cancellation policy reflects the logistical complexity criteria of the tours we offer. Wilderide will need to plan and confirm bookings with all suppliers (e.g. accommodation, restaurants, activities, guides, support vehicles) for the actual number of participants, and we are subject to the cancellation policies of these suppliers.

Refund policy based on date emailed cancellation notification received by Wilderide:

  • more than 90 days before start date - full refund

  • more than 45 days before start date - full cost less deposit

  • less than 45 days before start date - no refund

  • failure to turn up or leave trip voluntarily – no refund

If a tour is canceled due to failure to reach the minimum number of participants any deposit will be fully refunded.

Failure to supply signed Wilderide Waiver and Release agreement more than 7 days before start date may result in cancellation with no refund.
